Our Story

We are Jenn and Jenna, two best friends who love good food, wine, and most of all planning a good party! We first met while working together at a popular local restaurant over ten years ago and our friendship has grown to be more like sisters in that time.

We both have business backgrounds and worked in the corporate world for many years. In the last couple years, we’ve both decided to stay home with our young families while working on a few side hustles. While our professional backgrounds are in Marketing, Social Media, Advertising, and Human Resources, we’ve always had a passion for party planning.

In normal circumstances, when we aren’t busy with our families, you can find us at one of Winnipeg’s trendy restaurants, browsing the aisles of Superstore or shopping in a local boutique. We love discovering all Winnipeg has to offer including the many markets, pop-up restaurants, art exhibits, and annual events like WineFest and the Food Truck Wars. As chaotic as life can get, we always made sure to have a monthly ladies’ night out to try something fun and exciting going on.

We dreamed up the idea of Bronze + Vine during one of those nights out. We were talking about our kids’ upcoming birthday parties and discussing themes, décor, and menu. When we looked back on all our party planning notes over the last several years, we realised we could take this outline we’d created and turn it into a simplified resource for anyone planning a party – whether it’s an anniversary party, baby shower, casual backyard BBQ or ladies’ night in.

Over the last year, we’ve been pouring our hearts into the creation of Bronze + Vine. We had been working hard towards a summer launch of our party planning resource while creating a brand that is relatable and inspirational. But, like many of you, with the recent global pandemic, we’ve had to make changes to our plans. While we still have plans for launching our party planning resources, large and elaborate parties are of course not top of mind. So, for now, we’ve decided to focus on sharing resources that are relevant for today’s challenging times – like ways to host a Virtual Girl’s Night In, how to creatively celebrate your little one’s birthday and Date Night-In ideas.

We want to create a lifestyle brand that delivers an approachable + relatable snapshot into our lives as women, moms, and Winnipeggers. And when the time is right, share our simplified process for party planning, entertaining and making even the smallest celebrations memorable.
